Vietnam and Russia are taking steps to enhance their collaboration in human resource training, scientific research, and technology development, strengthening their bilateral ties. The commitment was highlighted during discussions in Hanoi on October 7, where Nguyen Thanh Nghi, Chairman of the Commission for Policy and Strategy of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee, met with a Russian delegation.

The talks centered around leveraging Russia’s expertise in high technology to align with Vietnam’s developmental goals, exploring mutual opportunities for joint research and training initiatives. Both countries identified human resource development as a key area for long-term cooperation, focusing on fostering stronger connections between educational and training institutions, facilitating expert exchanges, and promoting engineer training and joint research efforts.

In addition to human resource initiatives, the discussions underscored potential expansions in science and technology, innovation, energy, and the oil and gas sectors. These areas were recognized as having significant potential for deeper collaboration between the two nations.

This meeting represents a concerted effort by both Vietnam and Russia to enhance their exchanges and develop more substantive partnerships in education, technology, and strategic research, aiming to build on their existing relationship and address their respective development needs. The dialogue underscores a mutual interest in strengthening their cooperation across multiple domains to benefit both countries.
