The strengthening southwest monsoon is currently impacting the Andaman Sea, the Gulf of Thailand, and the broader region, as reported by weather agencies. This weather system is accompanied by a monsoon trough that stretches across northern Thailand and extends into Vietnam, further fueling widespread thunderstorms in these areas.
From June 30 to July 3, forecasters predict scattered storms and significant rainfall, with eastern Thailand and the southern west coast facing the highest risk. As the monsoon system gradually shifts northward between July 4 and July 6, the country will remain under the influence of robust southwest winds, sustaining the rainfall during this period.
